Davido rejects N60m deal allegedly offered Chioma

Davido said on Tuesday that he rejected a N60m endorsement deal offered his girlfriend, Avril Chioma Rowland.

In a tweet, the singer, who showered his girlfriend with a N45m Porsche and a new song as birthday gifts on Tuesday revealed the offer.

He added that he asked those offering the deal to increase it to N100m before she could think about it.

Train your brain by Daniel Youdewei

I discovered that many people have let their minds lie dormant. We
take special care of our house, cars, and clothes, but we neglect our
most precious possession: the mind. We seldom pay any attention to
it and allow it to get dusty—then we ask why things are messy. The
majority of the problems that we face in life are as a result of lack of
training in the area of the mind. I am going to tell you how to train
your mind.
Is there a difference? The brain can be like a pet sometimes; restless,
unfocused, pissing all over the house (okay not exactly). Dealing with
an untrained dog can be a handful and the same goes for the brain.
Some of the effects of an untrained dog and brain are as follows:
1 The dog poops on your new beautiful rug.
2 The brain is subject to negative influence.
3 The dog bites your friends and scares them away.
4 The brain finds it hard to concentrate on important tasks.
5 The dog waits till you are asleep and begins barking.
6 The brain is prone to unnecessary anxiety and worry.
Nobody wants to deal with the above, but we subject ourselves to
them by not training our minds (or dogs). If we allow our minds to go
without proper training, we will suffer the consequences. When I was
younger, I wanted to take the easy way out; I remember typing on Google ‘How to commit suicide’ (It was that bad). I drowned in the
flood of sadness for a while, but I got a grip on my life. In the next part
I will reveal what helped tighten that grip.
Thought-control: This is directing your thought to that of good and
healthy nature. If you think failure, then failure you will see. I will not
say much on this as countless books have tackled the subject (I
recommend James Allen’s As a Man Thinketh). But I will say one
thing: try to analyze every unhealthy thought, hold it to the light of
reason and it will dissipate. Put awareness on the thought. Be the
observer. Some thoughts are shy so next the time you have a negative
thought simply look at it. It may be uncomfortable but keep your
attention there and it will shrink.
Physical Exercise: The more we exercise, the more efficient our
brains become. I found that I have more energy, motivation, and
confidence because of exercise. A study proved that exercise can be a
first line treatment for depression. We should all cultivate the habit of
working out by starting today, and keep it going till we push up the
Mindfulness: Being present in the here-and-now without passing
any judgments or criticisms. Mindfulness can increase focus and lead
to a more peaceful state of being. The following mindfulness exercises
increased my focus:
1 Door Knob. This involves staring at an object for an
extended period of time. It is preferable to pick something
mundane and uninteresting like a door knob. Sit and try to
stay still. Bring all your attention to the door knob; shut out
any foreign thought. Do this for 10 minutes every day.
2 Descending Count. Count backwards from a hundred to one
in your head. Another way to do this is to count skipping two or three numbers as you go down. For example, 100, 97, 94,
91, etc.
3 Conscious Breathing. Find a time when no one will disturb
you. Listen to the sound of your breathing (count the breaths if
it helps you focus). Breathe into the diaphragm with long
inhales and exhales. Do not strain to do the breaths, let them
come and go with ease.
4 Mantras. Use mantras to direct your attention to the present
moment. E.g. ‘Attention. Here and now,’ ‘This is it,’ and ‘I Am.’
Also make posters that remind you to stay present. Post them
on the wall around your house and create wallpapers on your
electronic devices. I found that looking at the word ‘Breathe’ or
‘Air’ immediately makes us more conscious of our breathing.
Note: The training of the brain will require patience and persistence.
But carry on with the steps and your brain will be able to bench-press
400 pounds!
Bonus – Practical ways to train a dog
You thought I would leave this out? Okay, here we go.
1 Eat a delicious meal in front of the dog when it is hungry.
2 Play with another dog to make it jealous.
3 Spitfire at the dog.
4 Cut the dog’s tail off and use it as a whip.

Thank you for reading! Practice all the steps with seriousness like they
were instructions from your mother. Except the ones on the dog—a
friend of mine reported that they did not work.

Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich 4-3 on aggregate to gain position in the Champions League finals

It’s an extra motivation,” Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said.

“What drives this club is to try to do the maximum, all of us, to regret nothing.”

Real are at home on Wednesday morning (AEST) and lead 2-1 after the away leg. Zidane’s men are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back titles since 1990, before the competition was enlarged switched a to a group format.

Munich, meanwhile, believe they need “cool heads and hot hearts” if they are to learn from Juventus and pull off an unlikely victory in Madrid.

Bayern face an uphill task in the semi-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium after losing at home last week when a defensive slip let Marco Asensio hit the winner.

To compound their problems, Bayern have lost both key defender Jerome Boateng and creative winger Arjen Robben with groin injuries.

Nevertheless, the Germans jetted to Madrid on Monday determined to pull off an unlikely win.

They can take solace from Juventus who went down fighting with a 3-1 win in Madrid in the quarter-finals after losing 3-0 in Turin, bowing out 4-3 on aggregate.

“Juve are a good example of putting pressure on Real in Madrid,” chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

“We need cool heads and hot hearts.”

Davido releases new single “assurance”

Whoever said love isn’t an amazing feeling? Davido keeps it real as he serenades his girlfriend, Chioma on this new record titled Assurance.

This is certainly a good way to start off the new week as the DMW lead act gets us hyped on this new love themed record produced by Speroach Beatz. Hopefully, a video should complement this captivating musical.

Would this be an addition to Davido‘s growing hit collection? Listen below and let us know.

Quotable Lyrics

You are the one I want o, before my liver start to fail

You are the one I need o, before cassava start to hail

If I ever leave o, make water carry me dey go (Faraway faraway)

I’m looking for a sister, Chioma my lover

The New Glitter

Glitters will have gone supersize in 2018 if the runways are any indication. Rhinestones, gems, and sequins are the new way to wear the sparkly stuff, adhered on your eyelids and around your eyes using lash glue. It takes a little patience, but the statement-making payoff is worth it.

Black Attack

Black eyeliner is taking a dramatic turn in 2018 (as seen at Marc Jacobs and a handful of other runway shows). Trace it thick around both lashlines, wing it out at a dramatic angle, or create graphic shapes with it—just don’t trace a thin line above your lashes and call it a day.
